Strong southwesterly winds, occasionally gusting around 45 mph, will
continue this afternoon. Additionally, showers developing later this
evening may produce wind gusts above 40 mph at times.

If traveling on east-west oriented roads, be prepared for gusty
crosswinds, particularly in higher profile vehicles. The
strongest winds will diminish late this evening.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous waves which could
capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Fox River from Johnsburg downstream to Red Gate Road in
St. Charles, including the Algonquin Lock & Dam tailwater gauge.

* WHEN...Until Tuesday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 9.5 feet, Fox River Drive threatened in East Dundee.
Boathouses threatened along the river in Cary.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 10:30 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 9.6 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 10:30 AM CDT Sunday was 9.9 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to remain just above flood
stage before falling below on Tuesday.
